On Friday the Town of Seneca Falls Police concluded a welfare investigation that lead to the arrest of two town residents. Sara L. Smith, age 27 of Balsley Road in Seneca Falls, and Christopher R. Lentola, age 33 of no permanent address, were arrested for criminal use of a Benefits Card 2nd and misuse of Food Stamps, both class A misdemeanors. During the investigation,it was learned that Smith and Lentola were misusing public benefits provided by Seneca County Division of Human Services. Smith and Lentola were released on appearance tickets and both are to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on February 22 at 6 pm.The Seneca Falls Police Department were assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Welfare Fraud Division.
